Besides monitoring of changes and additions in laws and regulations at the township, county, state and federal government levels, that can potentially impact the lake, the BLIA is aggressively participating in a Dakota Water Watch sponsored project that monitors S.E. SD lake water quality (see Water Quality tab for details). In addition, annually the BLIA hosts the following events:

At this time the BLIA is seeking suggestions for the development of additional community building events. Please submit your suggestions to yvonne@northshoresunset.com. Possibilities brought up so far include a block party and a parade of homes. Please describe your event suggestion and include the proposed time frame and date for holding the event.
In 08 the BLIA completed its siren project and in 09 the BLIA will complete its sign post project. A synopsis of the siren project is provided via the link on the right. Likewise, the status of the sign post project can be accessed via the link on the right.
